I find it very humbling when you can see the milky way makes you realise that we're a very small part of a much bigger thing. It's beautiful to see on a clear night! I remember me and my pals seeing it one night when they were leaving my house and i was sitting for two hours just looking up! Amazing. I bet it was a fantastic sight in New Hampshire as the air is much clearer over there i find. I just wish i had the kit to photograph it!

Those pictures on that site are absolutely amazing as are the ones posted ealier on this thread. I have to confess I knew nothing about this subject until this thread started and I really am quite blown away by it all. You live and learn

I missed the Geminids shower on wednesday And the leonids earlier this year. I had a dream about them last night though oddly enough.

Ì sat and watched the Birmingham AB last night. Not the most spectacular, but still well worth watching.

You have to go into the countryside a bit Sweetie, and then you can see them. It appeara very low on the horizon as a soft orange glow.
