You don't actually see much...especially when the trees are full of leaves, except the squirrells of course you see hundreds of those. In the three years that I have been here I have only ever seen a fox once.

That was a really good view of the trees beyond your garden MRH - you can see why you end up doing so much leaf sweeping. Is it woodland - are you allowed to walk through it? It looks like a good dog walking spot.

Oh Missy it is worth it - I could die for trees at the bottom of my garden - I love the swish swish noise they make in the wind and they provide shade too

Here are some pics taken with OH's camera, forgot to take mine so had to use his. this is one of the snow drifts that we had to dig through so that we could feed the sheep. this Res has been emptied as there is a leak on one of the banking walls this was taken before we got to the drift. had to stop and take this as the reflections are just georgous.

That last one is a very mysterious and brooding photo. Almost like the beginning of a murder film. I love it.

Gosh Carolann you do have your work cut out for you at the moment. How thoughtful of you to post such beautiful pictures when you must be so busy just trying to get through it. Your views are stunning and these 3 deserve potm from me.

;D Don't know why but it reminds me of that bucket of Nitro ice (the doctor keeps to deal with warts) just after it is opened. Your version is much better. Almost as if the spirit of winter is packing its bag and leaving

About two weeks ago, for a day! There were reports of snow around the country this morning on the radio, but I've missed all telly news bulletins today. Y'know how telly loves bad news, the economy is in the doodoo house, so that takes most news resources...

Lovely pictures Babyswan and Tig, always good to see them. We had a shock this morning and had heavy snow which lay on the ground for about 1 hour. So much for winter packing it's bags Dutchy. I tried to get a pic but the family were here at the weekend so the batteries were in need of charging.

thanks for the noms, Pip, FA and bagpuss. Talk about recycling, it's the same pic as last month, but 150m further back, with snow!!! (and no old man on a bike)
purple julia, it did snow, but not in Dublin much so it wasn't reported on at all really. Same as in UK, if it's not in London or the SE, then it's not worth putting on t'telly. A light dusting of snow and it's a national emergency!!!
bs.
