Lovely photo's Isabella - hope you test it out a lot more. No 5 is Akebia Quinata - is yours flowering already Isabella - mine has just got some buds up to now. Has yours fruited yet? I have had mine for 4 years and I still haven't had one although I do have 2 plants. The fruits can be eaten apparently - mmmh - don't know whether I want to though....... RF

Hello Rosefriend - Akebia is a lovely plant! Yes,my plant is flowering now - I have never had seed pods on it - they look interesting

My Akebia is a bit late then Isabella and those seed pods are edible apparently - they call them Japanese Cucumbers here - well I am not too sure about them to be honest.............
Might take one (should I ever get one) to the Gardner that told me they were edible and let him try them first!!!!!!!!
