Try to remember any of his better efforts - you can't!! ;D Ahhh! Poor old Des, he does take some stick and he's quite harmless really I found that track online recently. Otherwise I quite like I Pretend, his big hit from the 60's which I have on CD somewhere.

He had quite a few hits in the 60s. Was amazed to see he got to no 10 in 1986 with The Skye Boat Song! Don't remember that. Personally, I luurve The Eagles.

Well, it was at Hammersmith Apollo, not the Odeon but at least I got there on the right night and had a fantastic time. They were every bit as good as they always were, the only difference was that they're a bit slower on stage and a bit fatter !!!
Loved every minute of it and couldn't sleep all night because I was so hyper !

I'm currently listening to Raise the Alarm, an album by The Sunshine Underground.Up to a fortnight ago, I'd never heard of them, and actually found them on YouTube whilst looking for something else. Now I'm hooked. The problem these days is that I tend to exclusively listen to Classic Gold so don't have any exposure to new music. If this album and one or two other things I've seen/heard on YouTube are anything to go by, it might be worth listening to a contemporary music station again. I'm not sure that I could bear Radio 1 though.

Radio 1 is OK apart from the repetition and commercial radios just annoy me, especially coast FM/red dragon whatever it calls itself.

Radio 1 is absolutely fine, apart from the moron DJ's and the crap music they play.
There are hundreds of digital stations out there now. It mustn't be too difficult to find one you like.

I'm working this evening (but snowed under at work so I've had to bring some home ) so I'll be listening to something mellow to keep me calm while I work. Probably some Enya or Clannad. FA x
