Inspired by Plocket's "Old Moseley Hall for Piggin" gardenworld.proboards103.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=chat&thread=1176651928&page=1I thought I'd share this with you: went for a drive and ended up at the Old Vicarage, East Ruston (Norfolk), and what an inspiration it is... started from scratch 33 years ago by the current owners, it now covers 30 acres of an immaculate mix of structured and quirky gardening, which at this time of year is hardly at its most colourful, so no really fab pics for you - but here's a flavour: some treeferns (they don't winter-protect at all) new treefern stuff on the way: If you're going to build a pergola, you might as well build a pergola or in this case a pair: and a view of Happisburgh lighthouse through a hedge: www.e-ruston-oldvicaragegardens.co.uk

Lovely gardens OM, amazing to think they are privately owned. I loved the picture of the corn field on the web site. 30 acres must take some getting around ;D
