Lovely Chuckles. My OH just bought me a new camera for just this purpous....... inspired by Greenwizard..... I just hope I get some photos as good as yours. ;D Just out of interest, what camera is it? I've got an Olympus X785 (7 megapixles). That was after we took the Fuji A700 back coz it was really awful, kept shutting off and then destroyed the brand new memory card!!

Absolutely amazing photos Chuckles. Far better than anything I could hope to achieve with my Canon A510. In fact I think I would be hard pressed to match these with my SLR film camera.
Thanks for posting them.

Great pics, Chuckles. Buying a digital is like buying a computer. You think, this one has a 2GB processor but soon there will be a 2,2, then a 2.6 at what point do you buy? I have a Minolta 7i, but not long afterwards the 7Hi came out, why didn't I wait?!! I must admit, I should take more pics than I do! After seeing these, maybe I will! Keith

Thanks for the comments folks. How spooky Skarloey mines an Olympus SP550 and guess what my old one is a Fuji Don't know much about cameras really, I knew I wanted a good optical zoom and thats about it, it sounded good and the salesmans demo was good. Haven't twiddled with any of the settings yet coz I don't really understand the terminoligy enough yet just done basics, the manual is 198 pages which I haven't read yet. I bought it in the duty free Dixons at the airport £285 so in normal high street Dixons it would be £335. If you use your macro setting Nolawn when you look at the photo on your PC software you can zoom in again and again, the quality will depend on the pixels on your camera though. Not all mine have turned out as good Sprunace, I think it's the luck of the shot sometimes and some subjects are better than others to take close ups of. It's the same old story Keith I've bought many things then the following week a new model has been launched. It was the 18x Optical zoom that attracted me but I've yet to master it, need a tripod

Here's an effort from me with my new camera: No trickery, just a normal picture. I can't wait to take more. Green Wizard has a lot to answer for. ;D

Careful Sara, it can be quite addictive ;D As JL says I'm hooked and my Album is crammed full and I will have to go through and be selective about what I keep now. Still not read the manual really need to print it off but no ink in printer at mo. Skarloey your pics are very impressive........ More More More ;D
