Hi Plocket. I thought I might share some of my new clems so you can see first hand what you and Obelix got me into. I'm quite pleased with my first year blooms - all my clems were planted last year. I have about 12 of them now. Not all of them bloomed much. I only got a couple blooms from some of the plants. The 2 on the obelisk are Medley and Gazelle. They have really put on a show. Only thing is they are supposed to be fragrant, but no fragrance so far from them, but lots and lots of blooms. And remember I mentioned that one in particular shows dfferent shades of purple depending on the time of day/light? Well 03 and 011 are the same plant - Haku Ookan. I also threw in some general shots, almost all of the back yard/garden, since the last time I posted pics they were all close up and you said you wanted to see what the garden looks like in terms of lay out. OK. Here goes. Posting for me is always an adventure, and soon I'll have to finally learn how to use Photobucket because Yahoo is closing down their Photos section. ca.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/berfamilyreunion/album?.dir=/c962re2&.src=ph

Hia Trini!!! WOW!!! I mean WOW!!! They are gorgeous - in fact the whole garden looks gorgeous. It's so lush and neat and FULL!!! C. Haku Oookan sounds absolutely divine and your pink and white integrifolias together make a stunning display. BTW what's the sign in the last photo? I can't make it out but it looks important So how are you keeping? I don't see so much of you now that I don't visit the Beeb Boards so often. I trust you and yours are keeping well and I'm thrilled that you've posted some piccies. I don't know what this new Yahoo Flickr thing is but I guess we'll have to check it out sooner rather than later Take care TT, and see you soon! Px

Hi Plocket. I don't post a lot on this side but I lurk a lot here. ;D Thanks for the encouraging words on the clems. I am greatly encouraged by what they've produced this year, given that I only started putting some in last season and in early spring this year. The sign in the last picture is about a bit of a community competition that a couple of my neighbours nominated my garden for. It's called "Ajax In Bloom" I don't expect to win anything, but there's a free dinner in it just for being a participant, so I didn't object too much when they nominated me. ;D Especially since I don't have to do anything differently. I don't even know when the judges come around to judge the entrants, or if they've already come and gone. There's another neighbour down the street who is also a participant. We're all fine. My daughter is still in Japan and apparently enjoying the experience teaching English as a second language and travelling and sightseeing every chance she gets. I hope you and yours are doing OK. Say hello to Margi for me, and I hope she's recovering nicely. We're all pulling for her.

Oh good luck in the competition - what fun. I think community competitions like that are such a good thing, and your garden must surely be worthy of a prize. Obviously I can't see your neighbours garden but I'm rooting for you!!! You wait until next year when your clems come again - they'll be bigger and better ;D Glad you are doing ok. It sounds as though your daughter is having a wonderful time. I hope she's keeping in touch with you regularly though Of course I'll say hello to Margi for you. She's staying at her parents house now and sounds as though she's starting to recover. She went for a short walk yesterday but says that she tires really - not surprising after what she's been through. It sounds as though what she needs the most is a good nights sleep though. She's posted a few messages on the Beeb too. We're all doing fine at Chez Plocket. OH is working hard as usual while LP and I are enjoying the school holidays. Not that the summer weather is up to much - we've got rain again today. I hope it improves soon because I think probably everyone here in the UK is getting sick of all the rain, and the flooding. It's so nice to catch up TT Px
