I bought three lily bulbs from Malvern Spring Show, they are called Vulcano - really pleased with them.

They are a new variety, only came out this year. They are about 2'6" tall and have no fragrance unfortunately but I think their stunning good looks make up for that. We also bought some "Blackout" from the same nursery at Gardener's World Live, they're not black but a deep red. I'll post a pic when they come into flower. Both varieties favour alkaline soil and we are on the acid side, so I have them in pots with a little lime mixed in to the compost. They seem to be doing well. I think they were a real bargain too @ £3 for 3 bulbs. I can't remember the name of the nursery but their staff were so helpful. Look out for them at the shows next year.
