Very nice. There is a grass that has a pale yellow brown all year but somehow that feels wrong. This one has a lovely colour that does not look as if it died and the colour works well with those iris? base in front. Looks like it has a lot of potential. Does it get seeds? .... Merely begging here.... ;D

It has not had any 'flowers' yet (evidently it does not flower reliably, and plants grown from seed may vary in colour intensity to the parent plant). Best propagated from division - guess who had to google this info ;D Also it is another plant that appears to have had a name change - now Uncinia Uncinata Red If it flowers Dutchy (late Autumn if lucky) I will let you know PS the 'iris' were sword lilies (Gladiolus callianthus) x Tig

I planted the lovely uncinia rubra which I rescued a couple of weeks ago, only cost £1 or something. Tig thanks for posting the pic of it in summer, it's good to see what it looks like, Seems to me it spreads a bit, I might have even more of it next winter.

This grass is doing well in the chimney pot. It was only planted last Autumn. It used to be Stipa arundinacea but they've gone and changed the name and I can't remember what they call it now. Tig knows!!

I've never grown grasses before but today I got: Anemanthele lessoniana - pheasant's tail grass (is this the one that used to be Stipa arundinacea Ruthie?) and Stipa gigantea. I also sowed 6 Pennisetum villosum 'Cream Falls' seeds. Not sure how easily they germinate but there were 30 in the packet so I can do more if needs be. Just got to sort out the bottom of the garden now and get planting.
