Its a lovely plant and I have recently treated my self to a good specimen The pennisetum alopecuroides is also quite striking, these are still in pots after being spilt earlier in the year

Very striking Chuckles well done. My Uncinia Rubra which I rescued back in feb has become 2 nice shaped plants. One each in the winter pots with orange/yellow viola.

Two questions LG. How did they look with snow on? and last but not least is her sky back to normal again ;D Ah three questions. Are you going to get a bit next year?
My three Deschampsia cespitosa looked fabulous but then the sparrows discovered them and they now are golden husks. The crown if that is what the base is called is still lovely clumpy and green. I wonder if I will get seedlings next year now the sparrows have coated them with some manure ;D

To tell the truth Dutchy, I've not been down to my Daughters house over the holidays, not really up for the journey (It's a 4 hour journey, not that long but too long at the moment) but they came up to me. They have'nt been home yet as they're still visiting her Dad. I will ask them when they get back home again what it's looking like. The snow lasted a total of 1 day here so I don't even know if they'll have ventured out to their back garden. I certainly hope to get a good bit of it next year, it's a fair size but not at all invasive in their garden. With regards to your lovely grass sounds like it is quite hardy. They say it sometimes self seeds well in the right conditions, at least it's gotten a bit of fertiliser. ;D

;D It did that. birds are such a bonus The Deschampsia can be a pest in places but on my wet clay it seems well behaved. I like it for it's clump forming habit and that is stays green in Winter which is a big bonus for the herbaceous border. The Molinia heidebraut I have is a lovely grass too but by this time its skeleton has mostly gone and it is now invisible. The Miscanthus I have stays upright and it did flower this year like your daughters. It is a lovely grass that stays upright throughout Winter and fresh snow on the flowers is lovely but the frosty thingummy is better. It glitters when that is on and it does not bend the stems to breaking point. Well worth a four hour journey in Spring or early Summer. ( don't forget to have fun with the family too ;D )

I'm glad you mentioned your Molinia Dutchy. I bought one in late summer, Molinia something-or-other transparent and it has all but disappeared - I was wondering if that was supposed to happen.

Most Molinia go underground in Winter. Molinia caerulea subsp. arundinacea 'Transparent' is probably what you have and it goes yellow in autumn and usually disappears from sight after the flower stalks are gone. I have three little sticks in the border because I am prone to planting extra plants where nothing appears to be thus bunging things right on top of each other

That sounds right on both the name front and what has happened to mine - thanks Dutchy I will do the stick reminder as I often try to plant things on top of something that is already there.

I think we all do that guys, I've thrown out what look like a bunch of roots only to realise months later that was where I planted something.
