Hi Wee. Yes it is a celandine but a veeery refined one. Got it from Beth Chatto's nursery. I've had it about 4 years now and it's a goodly size clump but so far I've forgotten to divide it......maybe this year.

I know that doesn't mean it's Spring but it does my soul good along with the lengthening days!!

Ahhhh what more can I say. one big sigh. Those still warning for winter are so right but this is now and most bulbs don't mind a bit of frost. Although the flowers will be damaged. You an always cut them when severe frost is predicted and take them inside. The smell of paperwhites in the house... Now gently drifting off on my little pink cloud.

I am very very envious I am afraid - I have nothing flowering - just a good inch of daffodil leaves to show for my autumn efforts.
There should be some lovely photos in a few weeks time - I really am looking forward to them.

Well I had a quick scoot round at the weekend (very quick - weather's been dire) and saw no bulbs making a bid for the sky. Although my primroses are flowering their heads off! ;D

Amazing Amo and Magrich Daffs and Crocus in flower I have some Daffs that are showing buds in one of the beds and that Paper White thats almost open. I'm amazed at what is showing, have seen loads of young shoots on Clems, Honeysuckle, Roses etc etc plus loads of new growth in the beds, Asters, Delphiniums, Penstomens, Day Lily, Sedum etc etc. Please please don't let us have a really cold snap

I think they were an 'early' bulb I put in a couple of years ago bu they are the only ones in the garden. There are many others not far behind though. In fact a couple of the ones farthest from the camera were out just after Christmas.
No sign of the zillions of snowdrops here yet though but there are bluebell leaves at about 2 inches. Everything seems topsy turvey.

Yes they were, Wee. Reticulata "Gordon". I often have trouble first time around I don't think Irises like me Over the years I must have planted hundreds of Dutch Iris and never had a single flower!!!!

They don't like it wet I think. I replanted them last year expecting to loose them and they are up and some even show blue. Must make a pic.
