What follows is a genuine photo of some little kids (offspring of me luvverly wife's bridesmaid). As they are based outside of Europe I guess it is safe to show..... My question is...What was the e-mail headline that caused Mrs Cabbage to have a big one....?? a). Can you see what it is yet... b) My childrens' last day on earth.... c) I hear you are having another one.... s33.photobucket.com/albums/d74/CaptainCabbage/Misc/?action=view¤t=Captioncompetition.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1Vote now!!! Yes I know we can have secret votes, somehow, but let's be honest, I ain't THAT clever! Oh and votes don't cost £1.00 with only 73p going to charity like on the telly.....

I think I'll go for C too, with lots of tee,hee hees afterwards ;D Thank the Lord mine are well past that now, although the artistic 18yr. old STILL manages to get oil pastel on the bedroom carpet Maybe one of those two will turn out like mine, just got A-level results with an A in Fine Art and an A in Art textiles. Just a quick motherly 'brag' here..... with 600 points out of a possible 600 in textiles she got one of the top five marks in the whole of England and Wales ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. Letters of congrats from the examining board, picture in paper, etc. We are SO proud of her. So tell Mrs CC not to worry if anything like your piccy happens with yours, it's probably just incipient artistic talent

My vote is for B as that would be my immediate reaction.... still you've made me happy CC - finally seen someone with kids messier than mine! Mary: congratulations, that's brilliant! And ignore all that stuff in the media about exams getting easier - Ithink that's rubbish and so mean after the kids have all worked so hard. You brag as much as you like! It's nice to hear about the positive news about the younger generation - I think the vast majority of them are good kids. It's our generation that are making such a crap job of running the planet!

Interestingly 4P, I don't agree that most of today's kids are "good kids", I think most of today's kids are disrespectful ignorant little hooligans but the blame for that lies squarely at the feet of the parents. Children don't start out like that, they learn by example and when they see their parents being ignorant, disrespectful shitheads with absolutely no thought or consideration for anyone but themselves, is it any wonder the kids are the same ?
I'll get down off my high horse now.

And I'll go for "C" as the answer, by the way CC.

And about GCSE's not being easy I did the maths one (2 hours) in 30 minutes -without the use of a calculator, I'm not that good at maths - and I only got one wrong.

I would go with option B as my first thought !!!! And certainly enough to put you off option C! Agree with FA re kids and being lead by example. But peer pressure can undermine a parent's best intentions..........haven't registered here yet so see what happens when I press reply!

To FA. Oh, dear. having another bad day are you? As a parent, I've helped out in classrooms in First, Middle and Upper Schools and whilst I would agree with your comment that the 'horrible' kids tend to have parents of the same ilk (my daughter was bullied into a nervous breakdown by a girl whose parent, singular,, when asked by the headmaster to discuss the behaviour of her daughter, told him to F*** off) the majority of the kids of all ages responded well to authority. And lots of them do wish to do well, work hard, and get a good job at the end of it all. Please don't tar them all with the same brush, the ones hanging around the streets are a small minority, the rest of them, like my two and their friends, are at home doing their homework! Sorry to highjack your thread like this, I still think the pic is hilariously funny Mary

Oh Bloody Hell!!! Laugh , cry or sell 'em? I'm voting A (only coz no one else has and quite frankly, it could have been A, B or C!) They do look like a couple of cuties though don't they? Not sure I could be cross with them for too long. Mind you, the telly looks a bit poorly.

Just seen the ads for paint at the bottom of this thread, do Google do irony? Congrats to you and your daughter, Mary. Art is one of the few disciplines which can't be said to have got easier or harder! You living in Bournemouth-ish remids me of a story! I was on playground duty with another teacher and a child asked her, "Where do you live,Miss?" My friend said "Urmston" The child turned to me, "Do you live near Miss, Miss?" "Er, ..ish" "Where's Ish, Miss?"

The Vote is now closed! The official correct answer was B) - "My childrens' last day". Freaked Mrs C out when she saw the e-mail title. However, as no one paid any cash and the judge's rules are final - jlottie wins for being the only one to be naughty enough to break the rules! Actually she was nearly right with "you should have seen the cat" - Their German Shepherd had been painting the kitchen units with her tail

Hi Mary I'm with you on the kids issue. There are always some troublemakers but the vast majority are fine but we don't get to hear much about them, do we.

Please don't tar them all with the same brush, the ones hanging around the streets are a small minority, the rest of them, like my two and their friends, are at home doing their homework! Sorry to highjack your thread like this, I still think the pic is hilariously funny Mary I would have gone with caption c Mary I disagree with 'small minority' part of your statement, I agree with andy but I think it is around 25-30% of the little bleeders are just horribile, horrible kids. Living in an end terrace, we have knock and run every other weekend, I shout at them, tell them to 'bugger' off. But I do catch them in the act, twice now once when one was about to kick the door i opened it and he nearly fell in and a similar time with the hand on the verge of banging the door. Watching the chin wobble as the fight back the tears is so funny... I have never once refused to give them their balls back, I am not like that, they come round and ask and i say sure i will chuck it over, that never bothers me, but i hate knock and run, rocks and rubbish being thrown into our yard, just general nuisance disturbing my peace. It is the parents fault, have the time they couldnt give a toss, last night, 8 pm two girls, no older than 8 or 9 where 'bus hopping' on their own. I dont believe there is danger on every street, but I believe you should at least now where your kids are, not roaming the streets until dark. By the way we have an old pensioner fella, I have had a few run ins with him too as he has a garage near our house and I wont take any crap off him either when he is bothering me. With such actions like setting fire to rubbish next to our house, digging up a load of land on a sunday afternoon, it aint his land and on the day when me and the mrs want to relax we had the sound of him and a pick axe against, or next to our house wall. I wont have any of it, I work all week and I want to have a peaceful weekend. I have earnt it.
