Well I don't know about you but I feel as though I've been through the mill. I've had a bit of a time over the last few days and need cheering up so I'm starting a list of things that make me smile - feel free to join in!
Crisp, sunny autumn days Watching the birds in my garden Being snuggled up in fresh clean linens and duvet My mum's home-made chocolate mousse England wining the Rugby World Cup in 2004 Getting answers right on University Challenge or Mastermind Men in uniform (no not lollipop men!!!) A thunder storm after a really hot day Seeing my clematis in flower New seedlings popping up through soil Receiving surprise parcels in the post Orange smarties

Ok heres some of mine, just off the top of my head. Flowers, of all kinds The first sight of spring bulbs bravely pushing up through the soil smiling faces good news of a friend My Jollies ...yippee! The sight of the bottom of the ironing basket! Washing flapping on a dry, sunny day The flowering of a new plant (yes! I got it right) The smell of a baby A pile of cats in front of the fire Talking to a friend about our younger days, and remembering how daft we were.

Autumn Happy thoughts ay...that'd be CLEAN ones I spose... Finding lovely compost in my compost bin and spreading it on the border like a winter blanket... Baking up a storm for my very own Godzilla Morning mist and dew on spiders' webs. Walking to work early in the morning and (when I'm SURE no-one's about) jumping on the windblown piles of crispy fallen leaves.....kerUNCH.... ;D Watching the birds feeding on the bird table and around the garden. Planning next year's planting Visiting the odd arboretum when I can...and hugging the trees... Being able to wear BIG sloppy jumpers and woolly tights CPBxxx

Next doors workers finally done so no more 6 o'clock wake ups by rocking radios and, sorry to say, far too skinny and one far too fat and all too loud builders. ( My opinion of them might be somewhat thwrarted at the moment) A little red Robin looking for some food only a meter away. And all the above Dutchy

You've never seen an orange smartie Jenny? You haven't lived! They really are the best smarties. As one of my birthday presents OH gave me a large tube containing only orange smarties - what a guy! I guess they were a limited edition or something but I ate the lot anyway! ;D
And you have a copper fire bowl? How envious am I? Not that I have room for one but I love them!!!
You lot are really good at this game - thank you so much <hug>

Orange smarties are definitely orangey. They are my favourite too. Happy, smiley things: Most of the above. The biggest, sweetest, creamiest belgian bun or cream and jam doughnut in the world! So big, you can cut it in half and have seconds after tea. Lovely puddings with custard. The funny goings on on here.... Exchanging silly emails with my brother. My children. Seeing, hearing, snuggling and smelling them. The silly/ funny/ clever/ kind things they say and do.

Finding a parking space in a crowded car park close to the shop you are intending visiting
This happened to me yesterday
Pouring with rain needed to pop into M & S - parked right outside in a vacant bay
- have to say someone else was racing me for it but I won ;D ;D ;D
