Have you see the Vauxhall "New Corsa" advert? The one with the weird little soft toys running about shouting "C'mon"? Well could you explain it to me? I haven't got a clue what they are trying to tell me except that it's about a car!!!

At least you know it is about a car!!! I see so many adverts that I have no idea what they are advertising. still, at least they aren't tempting me to buy things I can't afford.

I agree with you Plocket I fail to see the reason "they" are there I keep thinking someone is going to tred on them and squash them and then there may be a purpose to the ad [glow=red,2,300]Dont get squashed in the queue to buy a Corsa[/glow] jenny x

Well, advert makers often leave me cold - the guys that pay for this rubbish and expect it to have a greater impact on me to go and buy some of their products astound me even more.
However, I bought a Corsa Breeze for her indoors ten years ago - she is the woman, mark you who made my life a misery for months by bringing every consversation around to transport of her person. This lovely little car has just clocked 14,000 miles!
This true mileage includes a couple of hoiliday trips to the Cotwolds and to see my daughter in York when I drove it.
The original battery was renewed last year - must be some kind of record.
The people at Google Earth use it as a reference point its stayed on the drive so long!

;D ;D ;D That is probably why they used dolls then. Cant go squashing people. Come on ;D Who are they fooling or is it a hidden message. Only when you are common you get this? Goes to show we are all very special. Nice one Allan. Google must be very pleased with you giving them such a trustworthy reference point ;D D.

A friend of mine had her Vauxhall (a little pre-corsa model I think) for 16 years and has only recently had to scrap it, and she's bought another one. The cars might be good but the adverts leave a lot to be desired!!!

I like the Citroen ads but I prefer the one where the car goes ice-skating! That's cool - the dolls are naff!!!

I must confess I find most ads either incomprehensible (car ads), boring (domestic cleaning product ads) or offensive (cosmetic ads). Obviously they do prompt people to buy products, or corporations wouldn't spend such huge amounts on them, but I can't for the life of me work out how seeing a car accompanied by either a soft toy or a beautiful woman would provoke any sane person to go out and buy said car! ... OK, rant over ... cheers ...

I don't think ads these days are all about getting you to buy the product - I think just remembering the advert is part of it!!! The "Sheila's Wheels" adverts annoy the heck out of me too and there's no way I'd consider going to a "pink bimbo" company for car insurance!!!

I hate ads. All ads. Doesn't matter what they're for, I absolutely detest them. I usually either turn the sound down or switch to the BBC when the adverts are on.
Radio ads are even worse.

I must admit to being a bit of an advertising junkie, but I don't get the point of the new Corsa ads either... I'm a Corsa fan (I had one of the first purple ones, which was my dream car and I still mourn its demise) but the last model's ads were the best - playing hide and seek summed the feel of the car up perfectly - a beautiful campaign!
