It only went down to -5c last night, not that it makes much difference, still freezing. Clouded over now after starting off sunny again, but still bitter cold outside. No snow though!

Sunny & cold here atm, we had snow showers yesterday afternoon too Jasmine. I expect that as I've got to do the ironing today instead of being out, we probably won't get them today & it'll stay sunny.

The snow has stopped but I've just been out to get some shopping and it is bitter. I think it's colder than yesterday - think I may stay indoors today! Might have to do the ironing too Jilly!

I've beaten you to it Jasmine and Jilly I've the ironing done. freezing cold but dry and dull here, we've had a few snow flurries but nothing major. Jenny and Ruth are down the country and they emailed me pics of the children playing in snow up to their knees.

we had snow all day Friday, yesterday we had a foot of fresh snow and today it is snowing again. On the bright side I have managed to build a ginormous snowman. I think he might be with us for a while yet.No prospect of any gardening.

Poor you, totp. We still have that bitter east wind, I wish it would change direction. The man on the Beeb said the jet stream was in the wrong position - wot, again? The sun has appeared this morning. I hope it's a bit warmer, but somehow I doubt it. It was minus 2 at 10.30 last night.

It is bitter out there. I've been pottering around in the garden but haven't got much get up and go to stay out there.

Another chilly night and frosty start, not quite as bad at -5c and with wall to wall sunshine again it soon thaws. The wind hasn't dropped though, on the plus side the washing is blowing well

Frost here as well and very high winds - washed some towels and tablecloths and all the tablecloths were dry in an hour even though it is freezing...the towels are just about finished but will give then another few minutes.
OH started to mess with the new GH - it was just too bitterly cold to carry on...wall to wall sunshine though!!

Freezing all day, but I noticed when I came in from work, that the tall Daffs in the front garden are just starting to come out, so I can almost guarantee that the wind will go round to the West & we'll get driving rain any day now

Oh, not again, Jasmine! We haven't had any more snow flurries here, although the weatherman mentioned them last night... We had a sunny day here but the east wind is still with us. It was cold out in the open. Today it's cloudier but we might see the sun, I think/hope!

I hope it's stopped snowing now Jas! Thankfully we didn't get any. Another freezing night, followed by a sunny start but it's clouded over now. The wind is coming from all directions and is really gusty and still bitter cold. March winds and April showers needs to be changed to March snow and April gales!

Very windy here too, but with wall to wall sunshine it feels lovely from inside the house. I think the birdbath is leaking, every morning I'm filling it up and every afternoon it's empty.

A bit like that here, FB. Not nice to garden in! It's a grey day today, but the wind appears to have dropped.

Bitterly cold, dry and sunny here. We had a light dusting of snow at some point overnight as I can see it on the ground where the sun hasn't reached yet.

We had wall-to-wall sun all day. It was still cold in 'that' wind, though. Today I hope the wind might have dropped - it's sunny again!

-7c overnight and another white frosty start, it took a while to thaw despite being nice and sunny, at least that wind has dropped a bit.

We had a lovely day yesterday, up to 11 degrees. The wind wasn't too bad, either. It's quite a frosty start this morning with more cloud.

It wasn't a nice day here, too cold and grey with 'that' wind still. Grey wall-to wall this morning, but no frost.

Not quite as cold overnight, the Easterly wind is back making it feel chilly despite a bit of sunshine breaking through the cloud.
