Still dream weather here and getting hotter for the weekend - 32degC - don't really need that much heat these days and watering the garden takes ages every evening but isn't it wonderful to just have shorts and a top on and sit outside... !!

Everything here seems to be breathing a sigh of relief. It is a mixture of sunshine and cloud and the temperature has dropped a little.

There was a good Easterly breeze last night and it cooled down a bit. It was still blowing this morning and with the cloud cover felt much fresher. Clouds gone now and sun's out, warming up again.

We had some clouds yesterday which dropped the temps a little. Today it's wall-to-wall clouds at the moment. Where's my sun gone?

Hottest day yet, yesterday 32c in the early evening and not a cloud in the sky. Today it is cloudy although the sun is burning it off a bit now. We actually had a bit of rain in the night ( just a cloudsworth )It is breezy and 24c at the moment

There were a few drops of water on the step this morning, so I assume some precipitation fell, although the garden is still bone dry. It has gone very cool here, 15c at the moment and I have opened all the windows to cool the house down before the next predicted 'heatwave'. I'm not moaning, it is much more comfortable

A bloomin' storm woke me up at 2.35 this morning. That was the end of my night's sleep. I don't think we had much rain, though. Yesterday was red-hot, though, so it's not surprising. This morning is cooler with cloud atm.

The thunderstorms didn't break here until 5:13am and they arrived with plenty of lightening and torrential rain. They are only just stopping, I've filled two butts and am on my third, could have filled more if I'd gone out in my jimjams at silly o'clock and moved the pipe from the one which was overflowing within 10 minutes of it starting! Decided to go back to bed instead.

We had a teaspoon of rain from our storm. It was a pleasant day yesterday, about 24 degrees after the clouds cleared away. Today looks similar.

Very hot here and hopefully we will be getting some kind of rain today - I am watering just to keep things alive. We could get up to 40degC at the weekend which is just too hot for man and beast!!
