.....the Sun is shining (for now) and I've managed a short wander round the garden inspecting the damage that Winter has done so far. It's not too bad, actually, but I have plenty of tidying up to do and my lawns more mossy than Pete Doherty's girlfriend !
I've put my new combined strimmer & lawn edger together and I'm still hunting for a cheap shredder.
I've had the new GW magazine delivered, bought myself the January Garden Answers as well, had a glance through the Parkers catalogue and I'm starting to get that familiar sense of wanting to get out, get my hands dirty and get on with some gardening.
Waheyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Bring on 2007

Yes I know just what you mean!. My gardening is restricted to checking pots aren't getting to dry, opening and closing the window in the GH and moving stuff around to keep the air circulating at the moment. I'm sorely tempted to get the seed catalogues out...but I'm saving them for February because in my book that's the most depressing month!
It's too darned wet to walk on the grass much, but in the border there's plenty of new growth poking through the dead stuff, euphorbias & sedums in particular. There's the chasmanthe and a few other I-can't-remember-what-the-*-I-planted-there bulbs are coming up too.
I keep thinking...'I'm sure it'll be fine to get out and do some gardening' but once I get out there all I'm doing is picking up leaves and twigs!

Yes, but picking up leaves & twigs IS gardening. I've just done an hour in the garden, sweeping the leaves off the patio and cutting the dead tops off my argeranthemum, crocosmia, fuchsias etc. Picking up leaves and twigs was also done and it felt WONDERFUL ! P*****g down with rain now though FA x

I've been itching to get out there for nearly a fortnight now. It's either been really really persisting down or I've not been here or it's been dark by the time I got back here. I'm hoping it's not raining tomorrow morning so I can have a wander round the garden before work.
