Does anyone partake in a bit of bid-up TV (or one of the other channels such as price drop) There are some amaizing bargains to be had......we've just bought some gorgeous cream lined curtains for our bedroom for £6.99 and a set of 5 Anthony Worrell-Thompson knives with block for £8.99. Just don't forget that there's always a £7.99 delivery charge plus £1.50 for the phone call.....still worth it though

Hia Andy! I have to be honest - I just flick past them. The stuff I've seen for sale doesn't appeal (shell suit jackets and shampoo I think were the last things I saw) so I've not hung around. I'm confused at how they work though - do you pay the price shown when you bid, or do you pay the price the items finally finish up at? Daft question probably!!! And is there any policy for returns?

Ages ago we had a few things Price Drop/Bid Up can't remember which. Me a fab Nautica full length hooded white dressing gown, OH had a black one also got a pink one and a blue one for presents. Excellent value should have been £100 paid £13 for mine on the web site and £20 each for the others. OH had a watch for work OH had the AWT Knives in the wrap, mega It's good if they have things that you want and you don't get carried away because something is a bargain

Plocket....you pay the price it ends up at. The knives for example, started at around £100. I phoned up when they were £15 (a bargain at that price) but they went right down to just under £9 ;D ;D ;D

I've bought a few bargains from Price-Drop but the best but IMO is a three tier steamer, brilliant for doing the veg, chicken and various other foods that can be steam cooked. They some times do price plunges when the price can drop right down to silly prices but you have to be quick to grab them.

We get these bid programmes on Freeview but I can't remember the channel numbers.
How do you know any stuff is legitimate unless it's on a trusted site, or in this case TV channel?

I've bought on Price Drop, but not Bid Up because I find that one confusing... had some very good items though, and extremely good prices...
It is a matter of really keeping your head and only bidding on what you can't live without though, and knowing that if you miss out it will probably be on again sometime soon...! There is a useful website, which shows what certain things have gone for in the last few days, and you can also see what's coming up in the next few days and put a bid in if you're not going to be around...!

Have you bought anything lately Andy, I haven't, not really looked for a while either. Still got the Nautica dressing gowns and the knives, other stuff long gone though. Must have a peek sometime and see what they have these days
