This year I thought that I'd troll along to the Malvern show. I've never been before but have seen the GW team extolling it's virtues on the telly and my sister's offered to take me. ;D
Have any of you been ? (HAH! daft question I know ;D) if so do you think that it's worth going? what's good about it? and are you going this year too?
cheers xxx

I have been to the spring and autumn show for the last four or five years. I like it and there are lots of good plants to buy. Not very impressed with the show gardens. Because they are not RHS shows there are a lot of stands displays etc nothing to do with gardening. The aim is to attract as many visitors to the shows as possible. Will probably go again this year.

They are in association with the RHS though! RHS members get advanced tickets at the same price as Three Counties members.
I go to the spring show every year and for the last two years have been to the autumn show too. There are some none gardening stands there but no more than you usually get at GW Live or Hampton Court.
I love the Malvern Shows, the venue is lovely, there is free parking, it is very well organised and there is something for everyone. I always go on the Saturday, I can't go on a weekday as I cannot get the time off.
If you decide to go, and it's on the Saturday, perhaps we could meet up CPB. We'd have to pre-arrange it though as the site is pretty big and well packed!

In addition, you get a lot of smaller traders there who cannot afford the prices they charge for exhibitors at GW Live. The plants are often much cheaper and you can get lots of other goodies too. There's a very good stand doing gardening gloves for instance. Last year you could buy 6 clematis for £10 and there were lots of different varieties to choose from!

Mrs Bill and I may be there this year. We thought we might take the caravan to Great Malvern for a long weekend.
We will probably still go to Gardener's World Live, but I can't help thinking that it will be spoiled by being combined with Food and Homes. We'll see

Music to my ears...was plotting trips with big sis this morning...we've booked one to Wisley, one to Tatton Park and plan to drive to Marvern....wonder if we could hire a flat bed truck... ;D
