CPB Sorry me duck, didn't mean to snap. It's just one of those "I've got loads to do and not enough hours in the day to do it and it doesn't help that you've got 2 kids getting in the way and oh my god look how overgrown that border is and grrrrrrr I've got all this stuff to take to the dump and why don't plants do what they're supposed to do instead of self-seeding everywhere" days today. FA x PS - my broadband connection is also up and down like a newlyweds duvet at the moment, which is not helping my mood.

Well... on Saturday I did six loads of washing, the usual three meals, caught up with the washing up, and burned 7 Cds for the Lions meeting on Sunday.
On Sunday I attended the Lions Midlands region Autumn Forum, running the audio/visual equipment. During the lunchbreak I persuaded 2 Lions clubs to adopt the Message in a Bottle project, delivered 2000 bottles to 2 clubs who had placed an order, got home to cook tea, put away dried washing and watched an episode of the Professionals (the one that Ray Doyle nearly died of gunshot wounds).
Won a bottle of champagne in the raffle at Autumn Forum, and bought a rich fruit cake.
Have just seen Hitler off to bed and come on-line.

I understand you completely FA! I was running in and out of the garden, to put on more laundry! I spotted weeds everywhere, and I couldn't do a thing. Had to wash, iron, vote, cook, sing and bring eldest daughter to her student room. So I understand your frustration. And I'm even more frustrated about the result that a not so pleasant flemish party has got in my city. I feel ashamed! <hug> to you and your family F.A.

Well, I've told my husband that if he keeps on disintegatng my house with his DIY I am booking a last minute holiday and they can all clear up their own mess. He is a brilliant carpenter, but he is incapable of clearing up after himself. So we live in the Dingle's World. His weekend is trying to get to grips with his own mess, somewhere along the line I must have filled in a form stating that I was his lackie. Not happy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since I've known him I have filled up 100+ jars of screws he has left around, my feet are testament to prove it....sorry what was the topic?

No worries FA...like the hippo more than gollum tho...he's too scary. I've had my weekend day today...after much housework and grocery shopping...GOT INTO THE GARDEN!!...at last...I've cleared out 2 wheelbarrow loads of weeds and stuff that's gone over, sorted out the tree-fern and painted fern for over winter...dug out and potted up the chocolate cosmos and gerberas to overwinter in the GH...and dead headed the dahlias and cosmos. The border doesn't look much different as the dahlias, cosmos etc are still giving a good show...the fence is covered in passiflora, morning glory, mina lobata and cup & saucer vine...so I shall just leave them for now as they look lovely...
Oh and I broke my lovely B&Q trowel...snapped the handle off! I'm left with the plastic one I got free (along with a plastic trug) with GW magazine about 300 years ago.....THAT one's fine still!
