Admittedly, I don't have many gardening years to compare it with but things seem really weird for this time of year. My solanum has put on huge growth within the past fortnight (as in, about 2 feet), my Boston Ivy shows no signs of turning red but is continuing to romp up the wall, alchemilla mollis has just decided to start flowering again (3rd time this year), aquilegia foliage shows no sign of dying back but has turned into huge lush bushes, and - as mentioned on Plocket's 'allium' thread - spring bulbs are starting to send up shoots ... what's happening? ... cheers ...

Well the sycamores over the garden wall think it's autumn - they are already golden yellow and the leaves are starting to fall on our grass. The sycamores are always the first sign!

I've got a ceanothus in full flower, one of my forest flames is putting on loads of growth, I noticed irises and grape hyacinth appearing the other day and a couple of weeks ago, I had flowers on my clem montana rubens and my philadelphus virginal.
This warm weather is not good. Everything thinks it's Spring and will get a shock when the first frost hits. I just hope we don't lose too much.

I have a Peiris flowering and the Morning Glory have just started to flower their heads off! I counted 18 open at once yesterday I'd almost given up on them and was going to dig them up.
