hello we have an oak near where we live with these on it; I've heard of leaf galls, would it be them? Don't know much about them, are they likely to hurt the tree? Many thanks

oohh,how strange, never knew that about wasps. Nice to see nature working in partnership, but hope we don't get a sudden plague of wasps in the kitchen! I'll have to see how many there are

We always called them Oak Apples & they were much in demand in my just post war childhood for marbles. I still collect them, how sad can you get?
