Hi, yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful NT owned house & estate of Erddig (nr Wrexham). I was totally fascinated by the place and the artefacts on display. A word of warning though, if you locate it by using Sat Nav, be assured that if you ask for the most direct route you will be assured of travelling along some very remote country lanes. Sadly, taking photographs in the house was not permitted, so here are just a few taken in and around the gardens. uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dvddavidknapper/slideshow_end?.dir=/99d8scd&.src=ph

Hi Skarloey!
"Looks like you had the place to yourself too" Not really as deserted as it seems, I do sometimes wait for ages for peeps to be out of shot before taking pictures. I would say that it was moderately busy.

Hi again David, Well by the looks of things, you were very patient. I was at Heligan the other day and it was fairly quiet and the moment I went to take a picture of the pear tree walk way (there probably is a proper name for it) two blokes walked straight in front of me!!! They must have known what I was doing. I got a picture a bit later though so all was well in the end.

Well done, Skarloey! I've always found people are quite accommodating when they realize what you are trying to do.
Just going to take a peek at your Heligan piccies.
