I think the way to best describe Christine is "excitable"!! We didn't stay until the end of her talk as shopping was a bit more important - you know how it is..... but I had to take a photograph for David. ;D ;D ;D

Rhoda, I know who you mean -Barbara Flynn- and I will take it as a compliment (I think). Can't see it myself though, but we were quite windswept at the time. It was a waste of time spending all that time doing my hair this morning!
Actually how had you pictured me? I don't really wear a long coat and a hat and carry a carpet bag, and I stopped all that flying around and jumping in and out of chalk pictures a long time ago. Getting too old for it now. MP1

Hmmm. I started to write and then the machine hiccuped. Wonder where my first bit went then. Anyhow, great to hear you had fun. Rhoda did Christine really enter the beeb board? I thought TV peoples would never go there. What with being famous and all that ;D ;D ;D. Which makes me wonder what we do here Pooh on her for snubbing you. I saw the series and always felt sorry for her neighbours. She is all over the place. Great to be able to put some faces to some of the boarders. Alicat perhaps more bangles on an alley cat? Dutchy Sorry Dutchy - didn't see this, I'm afraid I forget where I'm posting etc. Flora on the Beeb promised us a big exciting surprise visitor that we could chat too! So you can imagine how we pissed off we all felt when it turned out to be Christine! Flora set up a special board just for us to ask her questions - but several days before she was due to spend a couple of hours on line with us (directly after her show was aired on TV) nobody had posted any questions! So because I am all heart and didn't want her to be embarassed I posted a question asking how she would prune a "Hebe". Unfortunately she must have thought that in view of the Chris Beardshaw saga that I was taking the piss and she answered with a curt reply saying I had had quite enough answers to this already!!!! Miserable, humourless old ratbag! Anyway, then a few more kind souls posted some reasonably intelligent questions but these went unanswered after she was on TV. Thousands of newbies turned up to tell her how marvellous she was. She only answered questions which flattered her or gave her chance to promote her new book etc. The only good thing that came out of it was that some of the newbies who came on to chat to her stayed around as more frequent posters so we got some new blood on the board. Oh and David K found the love of his life... |

Hi Rhoda, Every cloud has a lining ( silver or gold). At least David K found the love of his life It goes to show that kindness is not always re payed and totally wasted on some people. Alicat before I sign off. Well done next time try to move the mouse on the img ( 3rd line from top) then left click to make it blue than click with the right button and go to copy click there and then return to this board and your text. Click again on the right mouse button and choose/click on paste. It should then be visible. Oh and when you remove the photo from Photobucket you might loose it on this thread too. Dutchy |
