It is spreading through my garden and it's really difficult to weed out Anything with the name "oxalis" in it sends shivers of terror up my spine. Most oxalis....even the cultivated varieties are evil. Perseverence is the answer. Keep digging up the roots and if you can, spray with glyphosate. Good luck Rita

That's why i said MOST oxalis There are some delightful little alpine oxalis too !!!

I now know that it is actually Oxalis corniculata aka yellow wood sorrel

Oh, I know that one! That's the free plant that arrived in the two bamboos we bought from the GC, one of our palms too and even showed up in one of my cacti pots which has been a long term resident. I've taken a lot of it out of the pots and planted it around the garden - fingers crossed mine gets rampant - it can go where it pleases. The stage my garden's at at the moment anything as pretty as that can go like the clappers and provide ground cover galore. But unlike in your garden Rita mine's taking a while to get going I'll tell you in a while if I still feel as charitable towards it. ;D
