Thanks for that pointer - I'll get a copy for my teenage boys. Do you think it might put them off using them? I only ever wanted my phone to make phone calls in an emergency although I have found the camera useful.

I must admit that mobile 'phones and myself are poles apart. I can use computers @ home and on forestry machinery ... but 'phones nada. Last week I had a look at my wife's new 'phone (which is PAYG) and don't ask me how; but I accessed the internet and used up most of her credit <was in the doghouse unsmiley>

i've always worried about doing that WelshBlue, so when I upgraded recently I took out web and walk thingy from T mobile where you could surf for ever for £7.50/month. I hadn't used it in the first three weeks so cancelled that add-on. lol.
the OH uses his all the time though, but then he does commute to work by train and it keeps him occupied !

Well, I have to disagree with you there! I don't even possess a mobile phone. I don't want one either. So can we have a non-mobile phone expert society? ;D Spruance

Mobiles have their uses Spruance, I have had to call ambulances twice in the last six months on mine.... once while at the allotment, and once in a street with a vandalised phonebox. I also make my children carry them so I can check up on them when they are out. I hate them when on public transport though, being forced to listen to private conversations!

Mobiles also give me the chance to phone home and tell me OH that I forgot to take the meat out off the fridge again and would he please please do it right now. Texting is cheaper than calling, so when abroad I use that to. ( whatever happened to nice old boring holidays <widegrindefinitelynotboredatallsmiley> ). Also I wouldn't want to miss my camera at only 2megpixel it is internet ready so take a pic and place it can be done in no time at all. Sweetleaf hope your calls were not realy bad ones for the people involved. Dutchy

One of the calls for ambulances was for a man who was on his mobile and crashed his MOTORBIKE!
The other was for the old man who sold me his shed....he collapsed on the allotment after I gave him the money, and died a week later. I still think its partly my fault , maybe the walk did it , although I didnt know he was ill.

Hi Sweetleaf, It probably wasn't your fault but simply his time. Hope it did not upset you too much. Dutchy

The gentleman in question actually accused me of stealing the chemicals and poisons that were in the shed he sold me, the day after I called the ambulance for him, so I have mixed feelings about him actually. Said items were in a box,I was going to ask him if he wanted them, before I took them to the council for disposal. When I heard about his accusation I delivered them to his address, whereupon he stated that HE didnt want them and I could put them in the bin! On the one hand, he gave me no reason to like him, but on the other hand, a life is a life.
