My daughter passed this on to me - its a guide to ethical living. It really make you thinks about our impact on our planet. If nothing else it has made sure that the only eggs I will buy are real free range eggs from the farm up the road.

Hm.. no spell check on the quick reply either. Ta Dutchy Hi Dutchy, The Spell Check and full features such as smileys etc are on the main reply menu. If you click on 'reply' at the bottom right of the thread, within the blue bar, you'll have the full range of options. As for your avatar, do you simply want to pick one from this list or do you want to use one of your own photos? Let me know, and we'll try to get you sorted out. ;D Spruance

Well.... got the reply <andthereforeallsmileysavailablesmiley> ( hm sorry I've got to stop doing this) button in the blue bar. I did wonder if you could hit a reply to a specific part of the thread. As for helping me with a new avatar. I'd like to use something from my own computer so it is saved in my "my pictures" file. So yes please Spruance you may sort me out ( I do however stress that all intrusions into the dark side of my computer are fully at your own risk and the proprietor of foresaid hard/software will not accept responsabilty ) ;D Dutchy

If you don't want to include the whole message, you can delete the parts you don't want. Just noticed the bit about the avatar, sorry. I would suggest that you open a Photobucket account, as the picture needs to be hosted on a web server. Let me know (PM if you like) when you've done that and I'll tell you what to do next. Might not be till around 9PM BST though. Here is the link for Photobucket... photobucket.com/ ;D Spruance

Hi jlottie - just came across this thread; the book is on my 'want list'. Since starting to garden I've also started to become much more environmentally conscious (it probably goes with the territory), and aware of things like air miles - do we really need to import mangetout from Zimbabwe or passion fruit from Thailand? Hickman's book sounds like it should be on all our X-mas lists! ... cheers ...

If instead you click on the word reply within the blue bar at the top or bottom of the thread, you will have the full reply options, including smileys, ;D ;D colour and bold etc. As for the board address, why not add it to your Internet Favourites? In Internet Explorer 6, click on Favorites at the top of the screen, and then click on Add, you can then accept the default site description or replace it with a more memorable one, and then just click OK. Next time you want to log-in click on Favorites again, and click on the bookmarked address. (Don't you just love those American spellings ) Spruance
