AT LAST! I have tracked down the ID of my passion flower that everyone was asking about....(pics on 'my garden and in the 'purple' thread in the gallery.)
It's called 'Violacea' and seems to be sort-of hardy..Flowers June - Sept, Height 2.5 m., position Sunny, sheltered, archways, trellis and walls. Well drained soil, protect young plant and tidy in April...
Hopefully this means it'll survive the winter (everything's crossed... ;D)

CPB, that's great ... now I'm going to track down seeds and grow this beauty to replace my sulking passiflora caerula - if it's 'sort of hardy' it should be happy in Dublin, shouldn't it ? It is SOOO gorgeous ... cheers ...

That's great news, I never like an unsolved mystery. I may have to track that one down myself, and plant it near my Chilean Glory Vine that is still flowering! Thanks for letting us now.

I bought that in the spring. It is doing really well & was only £1.80 from Morrisons. Janet.
