During some dry days lately some of my neighbours have been out cutting their lawn, I indeed give my own a cut two weeks ago, but I thought then it was a bit late for the last cut of the season, is this true or with the climate changing will this be the norm in the years to come, if I get a good day soon I may just give it another trim or should I leave it.

You can actually cut your lawn at any time of year....providing there is no frost or snow on it which will cause the grass to turn black !!!
I mowed all the banks at work today and i noticed the park's football pitches were being cut too.
If you wanted to do it properly, wait for a nice, windy, mild day when there is no morning dew or rain forecast and raise the cut up from the summer height...about 1.5" should be fine just to tidy things up.
Go for it !!!

The old groundsmen reckoned that they should always cut the cricket square as soon as possible after Boxing day.
Andy is absolutely right (good result at the weekend Andy - and not just Spurs).

If the conditions are right and our lawn needs cutting then my OH does it. After all if it is warm enough for it to grow then it is warm enough to cut it. I assume you live in the UK Blackrose

I cut my lawns last weekend, and fully expect to have to do them again later this month. Last year the final cut of the year was 11th December. <How do I remember these things? smiley> I'm not convinced that it has anything to do with Global Warming though.

I didn't know that grass can be cut at that time of year, I thought that it would stop growing and not require it. Thanks for the advice.
I have also got clumps of Black grass in my beds which have started to spread to other parts, was pleased when I saw that happening.
