Has anyone grown a climbing Fuchsia? Are they worth growing?
What about climbing Geraniums? Has anyone grown them?
I know at work we have Geraniums trained onto trellis on the Summer plant deliveries so I suppose they are the ones!

I have grown the Climbing Fuchsia Lady Boothby for the last 3 years and I love it. Mine grow to around 1.50 to 2.0 meters. I think that it is safe to say that I would use them as a background plant in a tub but as I say - I like them. Rosefriend

Well I am glad that you all like it. I certainly do - however I have never as yet been able to take a cutting from it and keep it alive. Don't ask me why.
My GC where I got it from, got half a dozen one year from Jersey or Guernsey - I cannot remember which and as he knows that I love fuchsia's he said I should have one and see what I thought. Well I got it for half price and he challenged me to get some cuttings - he took 50 and only got one through. I haven't even got one through.
If possible try and get some seeds - they must work but cuttings - well I can't do them and I have always thought that you couldn't kill fuchsia cuttings.

Nice fuschia Rosefriend.
I didn't know you could get climbing fuschias. We live not far from a place called Fuschia World. Next time I'm up there I must ask if they do them. They have hundreds of different varieties, some of which they have bred themselves. Very nice people too. The only snag is that they don't open on a Sunday.
