If you were interested in taking part in the plant trials we were discussing on the Beeb a while back, please check out the Garden Design board over the next few days - we're currently discussing the candidates left on the list here: www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbgardening/F2759006?thread=3676982 - & Obelixx will be posting a final voting thread shortly ....

Thanks Juliet - but everytime I am able to log on to the BBC Board it is closed I feel that a plant trail should contain plants that are not too easy to grow As last time Cleomes and Monardas But one of the choices this time is Nigella and I think Penstemons Nigella seeds itself everywhere in my garden - a very pretty flower - but I think looks quite ugly with its huge seed heads so I do hope this is not one of the winners Penstemons are again easy to grow and even slugs leave these alone My poor Cleomes were bombarded with SNAILS - even tho they have spikey, sticky type stems I will try and keep uptodate with the Thread - j w x

Hi Jenny, I think you're probably right about the nigella - at least, I like the seedheads, but it's supposed to be really easy to grow so probably a bit pointless. I'm not sure I'll be able to do half-hardy annuals or perennials though (as I'm hoping to move house in the spring) so am really hoping we can do the nemophilia as our annual so I can at least join in with something, even if I plant a bit later than everyone else!
Obelixx is going to post a voting thread with all the candidates on Monday or Tuesday - so maybe when she does you'll be able to have a look at the list on the BBC, even if it's closed for posting, & then send her a pm with your votes?
