Hi all, This is probably a really silly question, but I'm trying to work out the number of litres of topsoil and compost needed to fill a raised bed 8 feet x 2.5 feet x 2 feet and have no idea how to go about it. If there are any mathematical geniuses out there, I'd be really grateful for a steer (I spectacularly failed all maths examinations at school). Thanks and cheers ...

8 x 2.5 x 2 =40 cubic feet
40 cubic feet = 1132.648 litres

Rounding that into simple language, about a cubic metre ...

It would make it easier if you measured in metric to begin with.
8ft = 2.4m ------ 2.5ft = 0.75m ------ 2ft = 0.6m
2.4 x 0.75 x 0.6 = 1.08 cubic metres
