Hi all, I am a member of the Romanian Rose Society and on Friday we had a meeting where the president came to my town and presented photographs from the World Rose Convention, which was held in Osaka in May, this year. I copied the photos on my PC and though I would share them with you. You will see photos from the convention, roses and other plants, as well as temples, parks and other aspects representative for the Japanese culture. You will see the first blue rose, created in Japan by implanting the gene that leads to the synthesis of blue pigment from pansy. Hope you enjoy! Hi Rosefan
The photos are marvellous - thank you for sharing them with us. I am a member of the German Rose Society and they do meet up regularily and visit Rose conventions all over the world.
Some of those roses are really great - I would love to own a few. Do you have any names by any chance?

What amazing photos! I have to admit that there are so many that I've whizzed through fairly quickly, but it looks as though you had a fascinating time.
