I'm not exactly keen on extreme weather but hot and humid makes me feel ill! Sticky, airless and sweaty is disgusting - you can't DO anything in that sort of weather. Yuck.

Wind - I can cope with anything as long as it is not windy. Cold and still - alright. Rain and still, not bad. Warm/hot and still - bloody love it ;D

I am a bit torn between wind and very hot as I dislike both. But I think the wind makes me grumpier than the heat, and I get ear ache easily, and my hair goes everywhere! Maybe that's why I'm a grouch at the moment!

I get very annoyed with strong wind as it's so destructive. Also, being a fisherman, it causes too many problems to name.
However, the very hot humid weather gets my vote as you just can't get cool or do anything. I feel lethargic and grumpy and just want to go to sleep

I had to vote for thick freezing fog but blizzards is a close second. I hate weather that means you can't see if you have to drive - it absolutely terrifies me. I've had a couple of really nasty experiences in very thick fog (so thick you can't see the end of the bonnet of the car) and I don't ever want to do that again. Very strong wind would be third for me - I worry about trees coming down and damaging our house, and us.

Voted very strong winds because of the damage it does. Must say though although I do like it reasonably warm I did get rather tetchy this summer with the heat we had. Couldn't move without dripping

Blizzards are fine when you're at home at don't have to go out. You can snuggle up and watch the weather.
Strong winds are scary as you worry about things being damaged or things coming through windows etc.
Fog is another thing OK if you're at home, as is the rain.
Humid weather is bad if you're anywhere else than home as you don't have unlimited access to cold drinks etc but I really dislike thunderstorms whereever I am.

You foget to add that rain can wash you away and sunshine causes skin cancer.
You don't get out that much then April?

I love thunderstorms, and sunshine,l dont mind rain, hate hail (big holes in my Hostas) Fog scares me, and blizzards are awful, not just for me but for many of my neighbours who have lived around here since the houses were built and are "knocking on a bit" The hills make foot traffic very dodgy indeed. There is a good percentage of us younger ones who remember to check on them, but I always worry that someone will be forgotten,

just voted 'blizzards' cos I hate snow and all the days of slushy misery it brings in its wake... everything else you list is more transient and I can cope with that...

I've voted freezing fog, as you're more likey to get caught out by it than say, blizzards. I hate driving in freezing fog. Not keen on being out in it at all for that matter.

I voted for hot and humid. I hate working in those conditions, we have to wear lab coats done up to the neck so we're constantly hot and irritable, the analysers and blood fridges break down because they can't cope with the heat (and because we work for the nhs we have no air conditioning...or if we do it's usually not working....) In the garden I hate watching my poor lawn burn to a crisp and develope cracks like a young grand canyon ( although obviously without the river.....) I watch my beautiful flowers shrivel and the leaves dry up and fall...YUK. I get too hot, I can't find anything to wear....and if I do find something it's generally cotton with BIG flowers on it and an elasticated waist (and I look like my Mother)....DOUBLE-YUK (not that Mother was yukky...she was a LOVELY woman but she did have a fondness for crimplene that still gives me nightmares...) I have never experienced really bad inclement weather...we lost a couple of roof tiles in the great gale of nineteen-eighty-wotsit...but we're really sheltered here. We've had one winter where the snow was really deep and I couldn't get the boys to school but nothing since...in fact I think we've had hardly any snow for a long time..... I love thick woolly jumpers and long scarves...fleeces, hats and wellie boots.....I like sitting in front of the fire with a cup of hot chocolate (with a nip of whisky in it) after an afternoon clearing up the leaves in the garden....I don't like ice much...but apart from that the winter's OK...except there's no gardening to speak of...suffering from withdrawl symptoms already!!!

Akshully.... the rain around here cleans my car so I don't mind it that much. When I lived in Bradford I used to love coming home so the rain could wash my car. The rain was filthy in Bradford. <nods> And yes, sunshine can cause cancer but sunshine wasn't an option

I voted freezing fog...there is nothing as awful as freezing fog...i also hate the way it muffles everything in that eeerie way!
I love snow but as aprilaydee says as long as you don't have to venture out into it.....we get the most wonderful blizzards up here - it stays crisp and clear whereas in larger urban areas it tends to end up a slushy, dirty mess! I love the crunch under foot....and best of all i love being snowed in. It generates a great community feeling when everyone is home unexpectedly and outside playing with the snow and clearing paths etc!.....i also like sledging on bulls hill with the kiddiewinks...great fun but it's only a matter of time when a 43 year old kid reports to A&E following a sledging accident!
In summer i like hot but comfortable temps not the high humidity best time of the day is evening after a very hot day and there is heat enough to sit in the garden and enjoy a nice glass of wine whilst the sun sinks below the horizon....especially if it's Friday! Bliss!

I voted freezing fog to. It scares me to death if i'm driving back from mums.
Although not struck on high winds as we have a lot of tall trees in the area.
Ziggywigs - Hello by the way. I love snow so long as I haven't got to get somewhere. no different to anyone else really. It's great fun with kids. - Shame it doesn't snow like it used too where I live. - Have to drive about 20 miles to get decent sledging weather/hills.
Anyway off to bed now - sleep well all.

I agree CPB - I don't like hot and humid weather either, especially at my time of life - hot flushes etc. etc. my pond fish don't like it either But gale force winds cause far more destruction than any other type of weather

I have voted for very strong winds - I suppose really because we are surrounded by very tall trees, some really do bend at frightening angles in a storm, and our house is in the way of a lot of them, if they came down.
However looking down the list, - very heavy rain - doesn't bother me - I don't mind getting wet - very thick freezing fog - not happy but I can cope, - blinding blizzards - well I have learnt to live with them here - thunderstorms - uneasy because of wind and trees - very very hot humid weather - not too happy these days
