i have about a thousand of them, i have sold hundreds for charity, given loads to friends, chucked em in the compost bin, what on earth can i do with the rest ?? they spread like mad,they have flowered all winter long, they're still flowering now, but lots will have to go to make way for my spring and summer flowers, any ideas please. barbara

Barbara I sympathise - they spread like wildfire don't they? Do you have one of those bins specifically for garden waste, that the council will collect? If not I think you are just going to have to bag them up and take them to your local waste tip.

I kept em in a pot, after hearing they could become weeds but they are so pretty, I may let them escape in a limited way. ;D

Buy them Jonah but be warned - they spead like wildfire! Be prepared to start digging them up in the next few years!!!
They are pretty though, and I have them in my garden. I just make a point of digging lots up each spring ;D

I could keep them in the smallest flower bed Plocket, they cant grow through concrete slabs can they?

Not through the slabs Sweetleaf, but they'd be more than capable of trying to get through the gaps if they aren't cemented! I wouldn't start worrying Sweetleaf - they grow from corms and can easily be found and pulled out while weeding. I have been growing them for about 5 years and they certainly haven't taken over the garden, but I do keep a careful eye on them.
