Anyone going to go..........I've only been once and that was about 10 years ago. So I'm going to go with a mate I know it's on with Good Food and Good Homes this year which I'm not bothered about seeing, well, I say that but bet I'll have a snoop ;D www.bbcgardenersworldlive.com/

I want to go and I think 4P is going, was hoping to get a gang together and meet up for a bit ;D Apparently its going to be expensive this year because of the additions I thought it was big last year, could have done with going two days running.

I want to go but my friend who normally comes with me is not keen this year because of the extra bits. I think it sounds like a nightmare to get round - it was bad enough last year...I'm planning on going still if it's not a ridiculous price. I haven't looked yet. If no one else is keen can we meet somewhere else instead? A garden vaguely equidistant maybe or something? I know that might be tricky. We'll have to have a think..

I've booked for the Friday and it's £16.50 each on line. Think it was only a fiver when I went all those years ago.

If you book on-line the cheapest ticket price is £18.50 (inc booking fee of 50p!)
That's not taking into account the £6+ parking charge
I think it's an absolute rip off
Would rather go to Shrewsbury show, Malvern Show or Kings Heath Show

Blimey, that's a lot of money to pay to be submerged in a sea of people, struggle to see any show gardens and never be able to find somewhere to sit.....I shall have to look at a map to see how far these other places are from me.

I remember the car parks from before, queuing for coaches to get you to the ground and back, getting back in the dark and not remembering were you are parked because it all looks different in the dark Oh joy

SORRY! Didn't get any pictures of the show gardens....the only time I got close enough to photograph them it was pouring with rain (very cooling for achy feet!) so I didn't take any pictures. There were some lovely gardens - only one I actively disliked which I shan't go on about here cos it sounds so negative! The Floral Marquee was gorgeous as usual and we had a thoroughly good day. I bought a Red leaved Angelica, Salvia patens X 2, and a totally beautiful Judas Tree. Cheery bought more than me, so I shall leave her to tell you about her haul! I do NOT like the amalgamation with the other 2 shows - you'd need superhuman energy to go round all three, or even 2! . Also the indoor Plant Mall seemed a lot smaller than last year (presumably because of less space). I really enjoyed the day - because of the excellant company and I can't wait for next year. (But hardly ANY native plants again )

I took this pic of a little bit of a show garden cos it reminded me of LL's wildlife tower. Looked really nice as part of a garden.
