Oh, I don't think so. You lasses have a far more concupiscent imagination that is far more appropiate to the a task I'll just chip in for the fun now and then.

It doesn't have to be lusty Sleepy, and when you get to my age you've probably forgotten what that means - I just thought with your vivid imagination you could come up with a suitable scenario to start us all off again - doesn't have to be concupiscent, it may well end up that way of course...........

OK, I'll give it a go. But if you find it a bit wacky just ignore it - I am a Sci-Fi fan after all:
Crun was still a child. She was only 30,000 years old as we measure time, and to her kind she was still a very young child.
Crun was a gaseous being, a swirling mist of silicon-based proteins, water vapour and trace elemental gasses. Her home was the cold empty depths of space itself.
Crun's folks were an ancient race. Evolving from simple life forms that came into existence within the first million years of the creation of the Universe. Their home was close in relative terms, to the impenetrable barrier that was the expanding edge of the Universe, and Crun could feel it glowing in the distance. Crun's people don't see things as we do, they feel them. They perceive their home, the vast open areas of vaccum, through humming fluctuations in the ether, the invisible fabric of nothingness.
Crun could feel that something was going to happen. She didn't know what. The feeling was new to her, but she knew that the hum was wrong. Crun was afraid.
Not far from her two red giants, two very old, burnt-out stars that were eons old, far older than Crun, started to collide. The enormous forces generated tore at the very fabric of their structure as they merged. The atoms that gave these behemoths their size began to strain, and with a strange silence that denied the enormity of the event the giant masses, struggling with the forces they has unwittingly released started to shrink. Soon there was nothing. Where the two huge red orbs once stood was just emptyness. Not even the stars shone in their place. Crun shuddered. This was it. This was the impending disaster that she had felt. She could feel...

..........a strange vibration that started deep within the very soul of her being. A throbbing hum that seemed to come from the very depths of the universe. Gradually the humming became more intense and higher pitched. The resonance increased its wavelength, higher and higher went the pitch, until finally the frequency became almost unbearable then suddenly, it stopped. The quiet now seemed so intense to Crun but she knew it wouldn't last. It felt like being balanced on the very edge of a precipice, suddenly..........................

the swirling mist of silicon-based proteins, water vapour and trace elemental gasses went "blurp" and Crun felt very very different. Before she had a chance to wonder what had happened to her, she realised that she was experiencing something very new: she could see. Somehow she now had eyes and was able to see the darkness that surrounded her. She could also see...

.........another being a few feet in front of her. Despite the swirling mist, there was definitely something there, something which moved and made a strange gulping sound as it did so. Turning towards this strange figure, Crun sent out a telepathic message. The figure revolved and started to move towards her in a series of sliding movements accompanied by the same gulping sounds. Gradually the creature came closer and closer until..................

their physical essences began to merge. Crun always took pleasure in merging with Trin. Trin was Crun’s friend, and only slightly older at 33,000 years. Crun and Trin’s thoughts mingled with each others, two swirling vortexes blending together, and sharing each other’s feelings and thoughts. Crun knew that she could screen some of her more private thoughts from Trin at will. This was a skill that Trin had not yet learned, and Trin’s very soul was laid bare for Crun to view.
Then Crun felt a gentle tugging. Crun had never experienced somethings pulling at her before. It was very gentle, and very slight, but she definitely felt a force pulling her. It was in the direction of the collapsed stars. The two giants were now no more than the size of a child’s football. But instinctively Crun knew that their mass hadn’t changed. Now they had become a deadly trap, a black hole.
Crun could feel that Trin realized what was happening, and Trin’s fear rippled through Crun fibre. They both knew that they had to escape, they had to find a way of getting away from the fatal clutches of the newly-formed menace…

Meanwhile, on a small island in the South Pacific, on a little, newly-formed planet, the third orbiting a small star at the end of the tip of a spiral galaxy, known to the inhabitants as Earth, a middle-aged man with a goatee beard, dressed in kahki shorts and a hawaiian shirt, unbuttoned down the front, and bare feet, was sitting on a small three-legged stool at the end of a jetty overlooking...

...the lake. He stared down at the sluggish green water. He wondered how many years he'd spent staring into this lake waiting. And what was he waiting for? Some elusive dream that had haunted him for most of his life. People laughed at him behind his back he knew but he didn't really care. As his thoughts flickered in and out of his consciousness he continued to watch and it was several moments before he realised something was stirring beneath the water. A strange rippling effect was forming, with waves of increasingly powerful energy swirling round. An eerie glow could be seen becoming stronger and more focused. The hair on his arms prickled and stirred and he felt a humming behind his ears as the magnetic energy tugged him down. He fell forwards as............

...a single beam of painfully bright light exploded from the water and penetrated the air cracking with heat and static...it pulsed and stabbed erratically at the ground around the slumped form of Algernon.....it seemed to dissect him out of time, cutting with laser precision until a boxed Algy was suspended mid air...
With a snort Algy woke, wiped the dribble from his mouth and tried to sit up...hitting his head on the top of his invisible prison.. "What the ?"....he starts pounding at the walls trying to force his way out...he can still see the world beyond unchanged and tranquil.... SUDDENLY....with a CLANG and a FLASH the entire box (including Algernon) disappears.......

His head throbbed. He couldn't see. All was pitch black. Was he blind? What had happened?
Gradually he began to make out a faint milkiness, a blurred patch of light. As his eyes became accostomed to the darkness the light started to come into focus - a swirling mist of colours - reds, green, yellows and blues, sparkling, swirling.
The cold, hard, invisible walls still surrounded him.
"Where am I?", he asked himself. "Is this real?"

Crun felt the strange presence that had suddenly winked into existence, but her thoughts were on her predicament. The black hole still pulled at her, slowly but relentlessly.
Suddenly an idea came to her. She knew what to do. It would be difficult, but it just might work.
"Trin..." , Crun called out
"Trin, I want you to merge with me".
With an effort Trin and Crun became one glowing, whirling entity. Crun held tightly onto Trin and moved them towards the rock.To her kind anything that was solid was a rock, and normally held no interest for her.

...she touched the rock delicately with her mind and gently edged her way into the space occupied by the unknown creature. Keeping Trin tightly in her centre to protect him she reached out to welcome the alien being. A violent rush of sensations flooded her and she convulsed with the pain? fury? fear? of the creature. Trin steadied her and she focused her immense mind. She caught a flash of something different and pushed with all her energy. There was a wrenching, falling, disorientating explosion and together they tumbled and crashed through time and space........

Falling... falling... spinning... Crun, Trin and the cold, hard cube tumbled towards the black hole.
Crun enveloped her body around the object, numbing her mind from the torrent of emotion that poured from whatever was inside. She used all her effort to control the spin. Slowly her efforts paid off, and they tumbled in a spiral of her choosing. Now she had to control their direction. With a herculean effort that taxed her tired, vapourous structure, she bent the spiral, aiming it for the exact centre of the black hole. She knew that their only chance of survival was to enter the black hole, allow themselves to be sucked in, and trust that they would come out the other side in a parallel universe where a mirror image white hole would throw them out again. It was a big risk.
As they got closer to the epicentre of the invisible vortex they spiralled faster and faster until the stars around them became a blur. Trin lost consciousness, and Crun felt the forces tearing at her very being.

Algernon could not comprehend what was happening...18 years studying cataclysmic variables hadn't prepared him for this...he sould sense a presence..an escence..thinly stretched across his awareness...atom clinging to atom..a transient rippling as tendrils of another consciousness probed weakly for any attachment point in Algernon's shocked and hysterical mind.
All at once there was cohesion...and he was in an instant aware that he was in communion..with what he couldn't fathom...but there was some'thing' inside his head, in his entrails...in his heart.
The bonding occurred in extremis......but it could never be riven....Algernon-Crun-Trin...they immediately realigned their magnetic field...instant, instinctive and perfect...the triad merged, molecules....atoms.....particles of what once had belonged to one...now rippling into a new, beautiful form that flowed away from danger and danced by the light of a thousand thousand thousand stars.......
However.
Millions of light years away.....

on a planet in the Alderon system, Alishee was brushing her soft pale blue hair as she sat on a tuft of aloo grass on the banks of the Kalipipi river. She watched without seeing a small twin-masted sailing boat drift slowly towards the horizon under the beautiful two moons painted on the sky, while her thoughts were on Aradak, the man with whom she was deeply in love. She liked to remember the feel of his strong body under her fingertips, the softness of his dark blue shoulder-length hair, and his smell... especially his smell. She remembered when he held her in his arms and she took in that sweet, earthy, manly odour that she loved so much. Oh how she yearned for him to be with her now....
