Has anyone got any in their garden? I bought a Ladybird/Lacewing/Solitary Bee combo last year but have no idea if anyone has moved in. I just had a peek at mine and some of the canes look like they have been blocked up with something and some have little cob webs over the holes. I suppose I just have to hope that the little beasties have taken up residence and will pay their rent in the summer by eating up all the Greenfly! LLx

I felt a bit guilty at the allotment when I cut the raspberry canes down, there were LOADS of Ladybirds. I collected up a few canes and put them under the hedge and collected up a few Ladybirds and put them on the canes. Some of the Ladybirds were quite happy to stay at the bottom of the cut canes and I left them about 4-6" tall instead of cutting them to the ground. Anyone know if I did the right thing? <looking for reassurance that I'm not a ladybird killer smiley!>
