Just wondering, is there any way of organising a plant/cuttings swap through the message board? I have a few plants that are healthy but not really wanted now, and I'd love to exchange them for something else rather than just bin them. Any ideas? Perhaps a new board where people could 'advertise' their unwanted things and request an alternative? I dunno... Have also posted this request on BBC, but not sure if their rules will allow it

good idea, rosemother - and you've started one... this can be it!
It can work on the same principle as 'seed swap' in the 'trials' thread - anyone with surplus plants, please list them here, and having made contact through the thread, exchange delivery/collection details via pm's.
I'll bump it to the top from time to time to keep it 'visible'

i've already sent some plants to pa and jonah, they sent me stamped addressed envelopes and i posted them back, so for the cost of a couple of envelopes and 5 stamps they got some plants. i think it works out cheaper, and i hate throwing plants away, i feel cruel after they have gone to the trouble of growing.
