Figs

I was wanting to buy a fig plant but haven't had any experience of these. I read that they need to be contained as they are very quick growers.

Anyone had any experience of these and can you recommend a variety?

Yes I can recommend Brown Turkey - I bought mine from Crocus

I grow mine in a very large container.

Thanks that's helpful. I love figs have always done as a child...mum used to buy fig rolls and i'd sit and eat a full packet... still would given the chance!

I'll go out at weekend and see if i can get one in the garden centre.
