Hi I am new here and am hoping that someone will be able to help me.
I have just put my olive back into the garden after the winter and have noticed that it has the pest olive scale on it ...does anyone know how to get rid of this. I would prefer not to use chemicals if possible
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Andy
Seems my best bet is going up to the local garden center and seeing what they have there for this...What they use in australia we may not be able to use over here...

You're probably right but when I googled for it, this was the most relevant !
Maybe you could try washing them off with soapy water if you don't want to use chemicals. That is often a good method of controlling pests.

I've just been googling around on this as well, and have found a reference from the DEFRA site for a chemical agent known as Thiacloprid, which in turn has led me to Provado Ultimate Bug Killer on Crocus, which contains Thiacloprid, and is apparently safe to use on edible plants.
