Hi Rita, I'm afraid Rosefriend has got the wrong end of the stick. To create a Hyperlink you need to place tags front and back of the url and then add your description in the middle. In the example below I have used round brackets, but you need to use square brackets [] for it to work. If I had used square brackets you wouldn't be able to see anything. Anyway this is a link to the Wikipedia entry for Casino Royale... (url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casino_Royale_(2006_film))Casino Royale(/url) So essentially it is (url= at the the front, then the url, then a ) after the url, then your description - which can be anything at all, then (/url) (again you need to replace the round brackets with square ones).Using square brackets it appears as... Another boring James Bond Film ;D Oh and you can also change your personalised description just as if it was any text, so different size/colour/italic etc So Yawn Yawn it's James Bore Bond for instance! Hope that's clear.

Have you done it yet Rita, cos I can't. I tried the hyperlink button in the tags with a web address in the middle, but I can't work out the adding a description bit.

Have you done it yet Rita, cos I can't. I tried the hyperlink button in the tags with a web address in the middle, but I can't work out the adding a description bit. The reason it doesn't work with the Hyperlink tags is that there is no = equals sign after the first url on the tags. I don't use the tags, I always type it in. The first part is [url= and then you paste or type in the url. Then you place a left facing square bracket after the url, and then put your description. Immediately after the url you need a right facing square bracket, a forward slash and url and a left facing square bracket. I cannot show you using square brackets as otherwise the code will take effect. All I can suggest is that you re-read the previous instructions and follow them to the letter! It does work! (Or as Sleepy has also demonstrated!)

By the way, just by way of encouragement, I should perhaps point out that I only found out how to do this myself fairly recently. You learn something new every day!

Can it work in email? Itried it, but no joy. The GWD version won't work in email as it uses UBBC code whilst email, generally, uses HTML. In short, yes it is possible, but I don't know how to do it! I think SleepySunday is perhaps the best person to ask on this one.
