We visited one of my favorite gardens today: Wollerton Old Hall. And if anyone reads the Independant newspaper - it DOESN'T open on Saturdays!!! The beds and borders looked rather bare because it was so early in the season, but there were some lovely bulbs and hellebores, the viburnums were sublime and still the overall feeling of the garden was lovely. For anyone who hasn't been it's made up of lots of little "rooms" and is a delight to visit, even if it starts drizzling, as it did for us this afternoon. Here's a few photos to give you a feeling:

Funnily enough we keep passing the signs but haven't ever been to Moseley Old Hall, but it's on our list to do this year. Ooooo a combined visit - now there's an idea!
