I've been trying to cut down on the chemicals we use in the house, so have started using Soda Crystals. The leaflet I got with them suggests that a solution using soda crystals and other ingredients can be used against greenfly, mildew and blackspot - has anyone tried this and does it actually work?

I do use Soda in the garden but as a cleaning product for Pots, BBQ etc. I have no idea whether you can use it for Greenfly and Co.
