Fabulous pics Alicat!
Whereabouts is this garden? The tulips are stunning aren't they, although this stiff breeze we are experiencing will probably see some of them off. Mine are being decimated at the moment.

Marvellous pics Alicat - thanks a lot for posting them.
There really are some gorgeous tulips there - it sounds and looks well worth a visit - pity that I am so far away.

Alicat thank you. I hope your mum liked it as much as you obviously did. Quite a stunner this garden with all its colour. Pity you could not do the wild walk ,perhaps another day as it is so close to you.

Thanks PG. - The tulips were stunning, - They did have signs up saying sorry but some of the tulips had gone over due to the hot weather but no mention of the wind. - Maybe it was because they had protection from the hill at the back of them. - I’m sorry to here your Tulips are getting a battering from the wind. The garden is on the back road between Stourport and Worcester. - Not very easy to find unless you know the area or have sat nav. Here’s the link www.ngs.org.uk/gen/gardenfinder/garden.aspx?gid=19801Hi RF - It was lovely. We would have stayed there a lot longer if mum hadn‘t been so poorly. In an ideal world we would have used her mobility scooter but the garden was not suitable for it. We still had a lovely time though. It’s a real shame you are not closer. - Do you have gardens open to the public in Germany like we do here? Thank you Dutchy - the photo’s don’t do it justice. It was a beautiful garden, one to just sit in and enjoy. Mum has been very ill the last few weeks, but she was determined to get out, even though we were taking a chance. She had a lovely day. We are hoping to do a few more, health /weather permitting. Thank you Aprildee they were. Oh how I hope to have something like it one day. - well I can dream can’t I. Hi CPB - I don’t grow tulips either although I will be next year. The hot colour ones are my favourites too, although I love some of the softer ones also. - It really was hard too choose my favourite photo’s. They were all stunning. And yes it was a Yellow book private garden. This is the website, maybe you can find some gardens near you to visit. www.ngs.org.uk/gen/garden_finder.aspxLet me know if you do.

What a totally lovely garden and oh to have a wood right next door to where you live - sadly "my wood" is across the road and not near enough by a long way - I wonder if they know how lucky they are - thank you so much for sharing them with us

Thanks Plocket - I will definitely be having Tulips in my garden next year. ;D Yes, I’m sorry I haven’t named them, not all were named in the garden unfortunately. I was going to google for the names but I just haven’t had time yet. - Sorry. I do know the black Frilly one is Black Parrot. - one of my favourites. And the Orange one second from bottom is orange Emperor - another of my favourites. I have Just checked your tulip thread and wondered if this is the one you thought was Ballerina.? - I couldn’t get close enough to smell it though. If you or anyone else could help me out with names I would very much appreciate it. Thank you. A. x

The red and white striped one is Carnival de Nice (below your Black Parrot photo) and the pink/white/green tulip (fourth from the bottom I think) is called Green Wave. I only know them because I've got them!!!
