Dear Diary, This weekend it has been difficult to fend of addiction, might not have been too bad if it had not been a holiday weekend! OH is aware of a couple of transactions, but not all not just addicted but secretive too. How will I be able to hide the secret plants? Oh well will try be more restrained next weekend, plants from M&S, CO-OP and Morrison's do not count as can be counted as household expenditure. So the stash included 1x Rosa "a Shropshire lad" 2x Aquilegia 1X Acer "Sango-Kaku" 5x Osteospurmums 1x Borage 1X Clematis "duchess of Edinburgh"(to replace a dodgy looking one, well that justifies that purchase) 3x Oriental Poppies "wedding day" 2x Hardy Geraniums. Until the next entry Sara

Dear Diary, I did not expect to be back quite so soon If we are being totally truthful I must add 1x Clematis "wilsonii"(this of course can be blamed on plocket as it's all her fault for encouraging me to consider Clem's as such things of beauty!) Also the other small items such as 3x Verbena Bonariensis 3x Penstemon Until next time PS I have just received news that others too have the same affliction as far as Scotland.

Hi Sara. What is the meaning of HRT in this context?
Obviously, like me, you are not safe in a GC, but what's the HRT connection?

I have problems resisting sick plants selling cheap in the supermarket They're usually doomed and I'm wasting my 50p but I can't bear the thought of them not getting a chance. Today I got a dwarf (very) sunflower with loads of buds but no leaves, a New Guinea Impatiens (not too battered) and a Globe Allium pot with one dead but one very healthy bulb. They were all standing in half an inch of water!! So they're all in the drying-out clinic and I've got my fingers crossed.

Sara watch the slugs with those icelandic poppies. I 'rescued' some a couple of years ago, but before I knew it they had disappeared without a trace.

Due to popular demand, my (eccentric) butcher has now started selling bedding plants. Don't know where he gets them, but I picked up a couple of very healthy looking pelargoniums and a fuchsia this afternoon (every woman needs more fuchsias) - problem is, I can see my daily butcher trips becoming quite expensive ;D

I think I spend more on plants and gardening stuff at B&Q than I actually earn... Although I was dragged past the clearance trolleys earlier by OH cos he wouldn't let me buy any more even though I said I did actually have space for them now after putting the rest into the border earlier.
