I took a picture of our son Tim's new allotment this morning - he has a fair bit of digging to do I have some spare tomato, sweet corn ,courgette and squash plants and I ordered a lucky dip of maincrop potatoes from a T & M offer. I am sure he will be able to get some produce this year don't you? He is very excited about his new plot -after all his troubles last year - I am too

It doesn't look as bad as some plots I've seen which have been unattended (how I wish I'd taken photos of mine when I took it over!!)
I'm sure it'll dig over much easier given the rain we've had recently, I'm assuming there's been rain in most parts of the UK!!
AND - he'll definitely get some produce this year ;D
Wish him good luck with the plot from me!

looks like he's already got some from the stuff at the front of the pic... LOL
Good luck with that, shouldn't be too hard to actually dig, just be hard getting all the bits out.

I am sure its just what he needs Isabella, its amazing how good gardening can make you feel I am sure there is some good soil underneath all that grass and it won't take long to restore order, I thoroughly enjoyed clearing mine and I have to admit I could do with another challenge - perhaps I need another plot

Thanks for your kind comments everyone His potatoes are through as are the dahlias Barry gave him and he has planted all his squashes, courgettes etc. He has started his 'looking for cheap / free paving slabs' and has acquired 20 already from a neighbour who was putting them in the skip. So one path is laid already I do hope his enthusiasm continues I will take another photo next week

That looks absolutely fantastic Isabella. I hope he is as proud of himself as you rightly are of him.
