Sarah looked with pity at Matilda. Gently patting her on the shoulder she whispered "come with me and lets see what we can find"
They disapeared into the potting shed. Sarah pulled a huge trunk out from under the bench. As she threw open the lid Matilda gasped with wonder. A huge pile of Sarah's old clothes lay there. "I don't wear these any more. I have restocked my wardrobe with hessian and old bin bags, so if there is anything here you would like, please help yourself"
Matilda rummaged through the profusion of tweed skirts and waxed jackets. After what seemed like an age she screamed with delight as she triumphantly pulled out a beautiful...

Grunging coat, she tried on the coat and it fit really badly, but she was entranced at the picture she made in the enormous mirror that had seemingly appeared from nowhere. Sarah stared at her as though she had never laid eyes on her before,and seemed as though she regretted parting with this particular item but suddenly......

She espied a rather exotic looking item at the bottom of the chest. I don't remember putting that in there she thought to herself. She reached in and grabbed the corner of what appeared to be a bit of grungy pink chiffon, she slowly pulled the item from beneath some old wellies to reveal.......

...a starry glittery piece of fabric "Oooo...." gasped Sarah, "That's just gorgeous...I can feel a festive forage coming on! Quick, get me a cameraman, a wire wreath frame, some evergreen herbs, some pink spindle berries, some still plump rosehips,yards of brightly coloured dried bracken fronds, dried Miscanthus flowers, some Physalis lanterns, Clematis stems, Iris foetidissima seed pods, and those really beautiful cream and crimson stippled borlotti bean pods...." Matilda face lit up "That's just what I have in my bag!" she screamed in astonishment "and look what I've just found in the pocket of your grunging coat............"
