The first one looks like a cultivated butter cup and is really bright yellow and is a perennial The second is pale yellow and the foliage is very similar to a flag iris Both have been in my garden for a few years and I can't remember what they are - any ideas please?

The first one looks like a Potentilla to me and the second one is driving me crazy because I know it

Thats the one 4P, it was driving me mad. Plants look familiar but I'm terrible at remembering the names

JL,
Is that a little rose I see bottom left amongst blue flowers? The yellow is a Potentilla... trying not to be boring its another member of Rose family

Thank you all so much, thats another 2 I can tick off my list - heres another one Foz I do have roses in the garden, but they have to fend for their selves and usually get swamped by all the other plants
