Ooh it looks so much better inthe 'flesh' than the artists picture on the RHS site - it is really nice and I like the planting a lot. Like Chuckles I don't normally like 'modern' but it is a very nice design. Glad you had a nice time Pam.

Looks beautiful - and manageable. Erm... what happens to all these 'installations' like yours afterwards, Isabella? Do they auction them off, and how quickly do you have to clear them?
OM.

Hi Pam I'm glad to hear you had a good day despite the thunder storm The photos of the garden are lovely, and like LL, I also think it looks much better that the artists impression. The planting in the four shaped beds around the circular water feature is very appealing!! Any idea what the Dahlia is in the 5th photo? (it's just caught the OH's eye - but then, so have the Kniphofia :

Wow Pam love it. I hope you managed to get all that mud out of your system. The garden looks worth the effort. I love the planting, what perfect combinations. I would not mind the red hot poker in a plant sceme like that at all GH. When your OH produces something like that there is no complaining.

I went yesterday with me Mum. Unfortunately, I had had a migraine the night before (I get one every year or so) and still felt a bit ropey and didn't manage to drink a Pimms! Still, I spent the £8 on a Lythrum and quite a bit on sweetpea seeds from Eagle sweetpeas and Matthewman and a couple of Nemisias and another plant which I can't remember the name of right now and it's dark outside. Felt much better after lunch but seeing as I drove, it was then too late for the Pimms but really enjoyed the gardens, most I liked although there were some dodgy ones. The Homebase garden was lovely, my Mum loved it too. My favourite was the one that won the Tudor Rose award (God my memory is dreadful!) I'll post some piccies tomorrow. ;D
